Mulberry Relay for Life0 commentsThis coming Friday night, the Mulberry Relay for Life will be in full swing. It's an all night "walkathon" that represents that cancer never sleeps and that we need to relentlessly persue a cure. Last year Sikes was involved and everyone involved had a great time. This year, Sikes is looking to do even better. So please click on the link below, and check out the Mulberry Team Sikes page, and if you click on "Susan Miller" link under Team Members, you will go directly to the "Miller's Donation Page". Mulberry Relay for Life Taylor Arrington0 comments![]() I unfortunately have to pass on some more bad news in regards to another cancer child. Taylor was a beautiful, full of life, red-headed young lady that fought an extremely long battle with cancer. Yesterday (Sunday 4/22/07) she lost her battle. She was only 12 years old. We were blessed to meet and know Taylor and her family. She was a extremely brave person. Please visit her webpage by clicking here Please join us in saying a prayer for her family and please take a moment to pray for all the kids that are sick and fighting for their lives. It all doesn't seem fair. Though we are devestated to hear this news, we know that she is with God and she is no longer having to fight this battle... ..The truth is, she has now won her battle. Below are some pics of Taylor and Mikayla in some past activities. ![]() ![]()
Strawberry Pizza0 comments
Since strawberries are in full swing right now, here's what looks like a delicious desert using strawberries. If it's anything like my Grandma Miller's Blueberry Pizza, then it will make you drool.
Another fine recipe from the Happy Cookers Group - Kudos to Pa Strawberry Pizza 6 tbsp butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp almond extract 1 1/4 cups flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt Filling: 1 pkg (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup confectioners sugar 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries 1 cup sugar1/4 cup cornstarch 2 cups crushed strawberries In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar for two minutes. Beat in the egg and the extracts. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for one hour. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a 13 inch circle. Transfer to an ungreased 12 inch pizza pan. Build up the edges slightly. Bake at 350 F. for 18 to 22 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioners sugar until smooth. Spread over the crust. Arrange sliced strawberries on the top. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and crushed berries until blended. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for two minutes or until thickened. Cool slightly. Spoon over the strawberries. Refrigerate until serving. Yield: 12-16 servings Kelly Muldoon0 comments

Coldplay - Clocks Video0 commentsDon't have a clue what the heck he's saying here, but it has a catchy tune and it says something about clocks, hince the time change. SPRING FORWARD!0 comments
See, if you visited here frequently, you would have been on time!
How 'bout this. A nice friendly reminder to change all your clocks. Also, here is a link to a palethra of data and information concerning the need for the time change twice a year....just in case you were wondering, in which I'm sure you were.
R.I.P. Brad0 commentsToday we heard the bad news that Brad Delp, the orgininal lead singer to the band Boston had passed away. As most of you know (especially "the fellas") Boston is my favorite Rock-n-Roll band ever. Lots and lots of awesome memories. Visit Boston's webpage here
